Sowers Action Nepal is committed to improving access to clean and reliable energy for vulnerable and underserved communities across Nepal. On 7 April 2026, a joint team from Sowers Action Nepal and Sowers Action Hong Kong distributed solar panels and solar lights to schools and students in Hanumanjula, Madi–09, Chitwan, a remote settlement within Chitwan National Park that lacks access to the national electricity grid. The support aimed to improve learning conditions for students and strengthen essential community services.
On 11 May 2026, in coordination with SOSEC Nepal and with implementation support from CDC Nepal, Sowers Action supported the distribution of portable solar lights to Raute families in Gurbakot Municipality–14, Surkhet. As Nepal’s last remaining nomadic indigenous community, the Raute require practical and mobile energy solutions that complement their traditional lifestyle.
Through these initiatives, Sowers Action Nepal is helping expand access to sustainable energy, improve educational opportunities, and enhance the quality of life for communities living in remote and marginalized areas.
