Sanitary Pads Distribution

The Sanitary Pads Distribution Project is part of Sowers Action’s broader effort to ensure that all students, regardless of gender or socioeconomic status, have the tools they need to succeed in their education. By addressing menstrual hygiene needs, we are helping young girls focus on their studies without the barriers posed by a lack of resources.

Padma Gastal Choiling School, Sankhu

Objective:
The project was launched at Padma Gastal Choiling School in Sankhu to address the pressing need for menstrual hygiene products among female students, helping promote better health, safety, and overall well-being.

Impact:

• Improved health and hygiene practices among students.
• Increased school attendance, as female students no longer have to miss school due to a lack of sanitary products.
• Enhanced confidence and dignity, supporting young girls’ education.

Beneficiaries:

• 300 underprivileged female students benefitted from this initiative.

Since:

Ngagyur Memorial School, Thankot

Objective:
Our another initiative in Thankot aimed to provide sanitary pads to underprivileged female students, addressing a critical need and promoting their health, safety, and well-being.

Impact:

• Improved menstrual hygiene and better health for the students.
• Boosted school attendance, as girls were no longer absent due to lack of access to sanitary products.
• Encouraged a more inclusive and supportive school environment for young girls.

Beneficiaries:

• 318 underprivileged female students have received support through this project.
