Sowers Action Nepal

Sowers Action Nepal is a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization founded on February 21, 2022. Based in Kathmandu, Nepal, its mission is to empower underprivileged communities through sustainable development projects focusing on education, healthcare, and community development.

Key Projects and Initiatives:

  1. Library Projects: Sowers Action Nepal has established libraries to enhance educational access:
    • – Set Devi Primary School Library: Located in Sindhupalchok, this library serves 30 children, providing essential learning resources in a rural setting.
    • – Ngagyur Memorial School Library: In Thankot, Kathmandu, this library, completed in November 2024, benefits 630 students by offering a dedicated space for reading and academic activities.
    • – Public Library at Sowers Action Community Center: Situated in Kathmandu, this library serves over 500 individuals monthly, promoting community learning and engagement.
  2. Educational Support: Recognizing the importance of accessible education, Sowers Action Nepal offers free Chinese language classes. In March 2025, certificates and results were distributed to students who completed the program, highlighting the organization’s commitment to skill development.
  3. Winter Relief Initiatives: Every year, during the cold winter months, Sowers Action Nepal launches the “Sending Warm Love” project, distributing warm jackets to students in remote schools to ensure they stay comfortable and can remain focused on their studies.
  4. Disaster Relief Efforts: In response to natural disasters, the organization has been actively involved in relief efforts. Notably, in Helambu Rural Municipality, Sowers Action constructed shelters for 25 flood-affected households, collaborating with local communities to rebuild and support affected families.The Himalayan Times
